How do I sign up and create my parent account?

Register your wrestler through WrestlingIQ. After registration, you will receive an invite to set up your parent account. Then download the WrestlingIQ app or use the website to view schedule, rosters, and messages. Step-by-step help is here:
Navigating WrestlingIQ (for Parents).

Where do I find practice times, locations, and event info?

All practices and events are kept up to date on our schedule:
View Schedule.
Any changes are posted there and sent through WrestlingIQ messages.

What should we expect the first week?

Practices follow a simple flow: warm-ups, technique, controlled drilling, and age-appropriate live work or games. Drop-off and pick-up details plus parent tips:
First Week Guide.

How much does it cost and is there a siblings discount?

Pricing varies by season and program. Siblings discounts are automatically applied at checkout for additional wrestlers in the same family. If something does not look right, contact us at
[email protected].

Do you offer financial assistance?

Yes. We have loaner gear and can help with fees when needed. Email
[email protected] in confidence and we will work with you.

What gear is required and what can we skip?

Required: wrestling shoes, and a water bottle. A club singlet is required for competition. We maintain a loaner gear library and often have gently used items available. Full details here:
Gear Guide.

Do you have loaner singlets or used gear?

Yes. Ask a coach about our loaner singlets and gear swap options. We never want cost to keep a wrestler off the mat.

When is wrestling season and how does the club fit with school teams?

Pre-season focuses on conditioning and fundamentals in the fall. Regular season runs roughly November through February. Postseason follows with championships. Our club complements school programs and provides additional training and events. Learn more:
Understanding the Wrestling Season.

How do rosters and RSVPs work for events?

We use WrestlingIQ rosters to list eligible wrestlers for each event. Respond in the app with Yes or No so coaches can plan. If your wrestler is missing from a roster, message us in WrestlingIQ or email
[email protected].

My child is new. Do they have to compete right away?

No. Many new wrestlers wait until they feel ready. Coaches will suggest age and experience-appropriate events. Families choose what fits best. Tournament primer:
How Tournaments Work.

How do weigh-ins, brackets, and bout numbers work?

Wrestlers check in and make weight, brackets publish, then matches are called by bout number and mat. Times are estimates, so expect a full day. Full walkthrough, glossary, and timeline:
Tournament Guide.

Is weight cutting required?

No. We coach a healthy, modern approach. Focus on strength, skill, and recovery. Read more:
Mental Health and Wrestling.

What should my wrestler eat and how do we handle recovery?

Choose whole foods, hydrate well, fuel before and after practice, and prioritize sleep. If a wrestler constantly struggles to make weight, the issue is usually the weight class, not willpower. See our guidance inside the mental health article above.

What about injuries and skin checks?

Nails must be trimmed and skin must be clear to compete. If your wrestler has a skin concern, tell a coach early so we can advise. Larger events have an athletic training station for on-site care.

How do coaches communicate updates or last-minute changes?

Through WrestlingIQ messages and the schedule page. Be sure your account notifications are on and check the schedule the night before events:
Schedule
WrestlingIQ Guide.

What is expected of parents at practice and competitions?

Cheer, do not coach from the stands, respect officials, and celebrate effort. Full guidance:
Parent Etiquette 101. For mindset support, see:
Psychology of Winning and Losing.

Weather cancellations or last-minute venue changes

We will update the schedule page and send a WrestlingIQ message. Always recheck the
Schedule
the morning of practice or an event if weather is questionable.

Photos and video

Personal photos and short videos are welcome. Please be respectful of other families. If enabled, you can upload match video inside the WrestlingIQ app for film review. Ask your coach how we are using video this season.

Volunteering and donating

Our club thrives with parent help. Score tables, setup, cleanup, travel coordination, and fundraising are great ways to pitch in. Watch for WrestlingIQ messages with sign-ups or email
[email protected].

Required forms or memberships

Some events require specific waivers or a current USA Wrestling membership. We will list any requirements inside each event on the
Schedule.
When in doubt, ask your coach before registering.

Who do I contact with other questions?

Message your coach in WrestlingIQ or email
[email protected]. We are happy to help.
