Wrestling isn’t easy, and you might want to quit, but this sport is one that tests your physical and mental strength. I get asked if I wish I hadn’t joined, and I always say “no!” Wrestling has helped me so much, and I’m thankful to all of my coaches, who helped through the hardest times. It builds strength, friendship, trust, leadership, and more, so thank you.

This program is hands down the best. We have been with the Hood River Wrestling Club for 6 years now and cannot say enough wonderful things about this program or Coach Austin and Coach Jessica. We have been more than pleased with the program introductions of skills, agility, techniques, and wrestling moves. Even more important is how Coach Austin and other coaches train and teach the kids good sportsmanship, integrity, compassion, instilling character and so much more into every wrestler in the program. Hood River Wrestling Club focuses on the wrestler behind the win. Coach Austin and other coaches that put their time into these kids are 110% committed to each on of them! We are happy to be a part of this program and think of them as family. Thank you!

I have been with Hood River wrestling club for 6 years. It is not my favorite sport, but it pushes me to be better. It keeps me in shape for my other sports. The coaches are great always making practice fun and encouraging.

Watching my daughter grow through wrestling has been one of the most powerful experiences of my life. Over time, I’ve watched a once shy, timid kid become tougher, more confident, and more determined than ever. This was an unexpected proving ground, a mountain that few have the courage to climb, but one step at a time, through the ups and downs, she proved to herself and to the world that nothing will ever stop her. HRWC builds athletes, but it also builds confidence, resilience, and an unbreakable community. I’m so proud of who she’s becoming, and so thankful for what the club has provided.
